The Broker described it as “the organisation in Velkris you’re looking for … near the entrance to Velkris. Look for the Talking Skulls” [2]. He suggested handing over the ledger could earn the party not only payment but a fixer-style retainer (“they would probably give you some sort of value in you and hire as personal fixers”, [1]. The party has not pursued the lead. Silent Intake is concept-only; nothing in transcript clarifies whether it is a building, a guild, or a single broker.

Open questions

  • Is Silent Intake a single fixer, a guild, or a market quarter? Transcript is silent.
  • The “Talking Skulls” landmark at the city’s entrance is unexplained — possibly a literal feature of Velkris (which the world brief paints as a necropolitan city of money and ghosts).
  • The Broker’s “personal fixers” framing implies Silent Intake recruits as well as buys; whether this is on offer to the party specifically or a generic come-on is unclear.
