Wyrmbough Council Building
The Wyrmbough Council Building is the central council hall of Wyrmbough Grove, the seat from which the elven settlement’s leadership operates. It is the building where Gwen Homora briefed the party on the corruption spreading from the Corrupted Redwood Grove and identified the central dirt mound as the ceremonial burial mound of the 34 elves who fell against Death-at-Sunset [4]. The party returned to the building in session 3 to find Gwen arguing with a commoner elf outside, the council under public criticism for failing to stop the corruption or the bandits stealing belongings on the road.
Overview
The council building sits in the central square of Wyrmbough Grove, near Fergus’s Grill and the cottages of the central settlement. It is where Gwen Homora is “generally found” [3] and where the party first met her in session 2 to receive the briefing on the corruption spreading from the redwoods.
In session 3, the party returned to look for Gwen and watched her argue with a commoner elf on the building’s steps as more elves loaded their belongings onto donkeys and left town [1]. Once the commoner walked away, Gwen restated the council’s position: the hunts the council had employed to keep Wyrmbough safe were going missing, roadside bandits were stealing belongings, and “Wurmbau isn’t what it used to be” [2]. Her best suggestion to the party was to return to the source of the corruption — the grove itself. From the council building she also gave the party the lore detail that drove the s3 arc: the central dirt mound in the grove is the ceremonial burial mound of the 34 elves who fell against Death-at-Sunset, sealed by their leader Edvan’s final blow with a long sword.
