Wyrmbough Council Building

The Wyrmbough Council Building is the main council hall of Wyrmbough Grove, where the DM says Gwen Homora is generally to be found [1]. In session 3 the party reached it to find her arguing outside with a commoner elf while families left town. She told them the commoners felt she and the council were failing them, sent them back to the corrupted grove, and named its untouched mound as the burial mound of 34 elves who fell fighting Death-at-Sunset under Edvan [11]. The party has not returned.

Overview

The council building is the main council hall of Wyrmbough Grove. It is “generally where you’ll find” Gwen Homora, an alchemist and member of the elven council [4][1][3], and the party meets her there once, in session 3. The scene is played outside the building: nobody goes through its doors, and nothing of its interior is described.

Geography and appearance

It stands in the city of Wyrmbough Grove, in the central square that also holds the village green, with Fergus’s Grill and the cottages close by (see Wyrmbough Grove). Nothing more of its look is described; the party simply walked to it through the city first thing in the morning after a long rest [5].

Inhabitants

  • Gwen Homora: the council member found at its door [1][2].
  • A commoner elf, unnamed, who was arguing with her when the party arrived and walked off when they came near [6].

Government / control

The seat of the elven council that runs Wyrmbough Grove. Gwen speaks of “me and the council” as the body the commoners blame [3]. The party did not meet any other councillor there.

History in the campaign

After a long rest, the party went to find Gwen at the council building, where the DM said she is generally to be found [7]. On the way they saw elves leaving town, among them a man from the barbecue with his family and a donkey laden with belongings, and outside the building Gwen was arguing with a commoner elf [2]. The commoner left as the party approached, and Gwen stayed [8]. She told them the commoners felt she and the council were failing: the hunts sent out to keep Wyrmbough safe were going missing, and roadside bandits were robbing people. She sent them back to the grove [3], and when Cholmondeley asked about the green patch at its centre she named it the ceremonial burial mound of 34 elves and their leader Edvan [9].

Status

As of session 23. Not seen since session 3. The party left Wyrmbough Grove at the start of session 4 [10] and has not returned.
