Shamil’s Forge is the smithy of the elf Shamil in Wyrmbough Grove. Vasquez borrowed it for the night at the end of session 3 and built his gunblade there, joining a looted pistol to his longsword [2]. Nothing of the building is described, and the party has not been back.

Overview

Shamil’s Forge is the smithy of Shamil, the blacksmith of Wyrmbough Grove, where Vasquez built his gunblade at the end of session 3 [2]. Nothing of the building is described beyond its being a working forge in the grove, so what is known of it is what was made there. It appears once.

Inhabitants

  • Shamil: the grove’s blacksmith, an elf with short braided red hair, a drippy nose and red cheeks, whose accent changes with every word [3]. He lent the forge to a stranger for the night, asking only what it was for [4].

With the dragon’s hoard looted, Vasquez asked around and learned that the grove had a blacksmith [5]. He asked to borrow the forge for the night for “something for a promise that I made”, and Shamil agreed and offered help, which Vasquez declined [6]. Vasquez set out the pistol he had taken from a looter’s corpse in the hoard [7], his longsword and his schematics, and rolled a 4 on the d100: he followed the schematics to perfection, made no improvements and finished in a couple of hours [2]. He then joined the others at Fergus’s Grill with the finished gunblade, sliding four glowing charges into its cylinder [8].

Status

As of session 23. Not seen since session 3. The party left the grove at the start of session 4 [9], and Shamil has not reappeared.
