Sablemar, the Dustbound Bazaar, is the lawless desert sprawl of Eldurae, where forbidden relics, outlawed magic and dangerous truths are bought and sold without question, and where there are no rulers, only customers. It is world-brief canon, and the party has never been there. The table has named it once, when the DM floated a desert route through Khaldun in session 19 [2].

Overview

The party has never been there. The table has named it once, on a route the DM floated in session 19 [2].

Geography and appearance

A sprawl in the desert sands (world brief). The brief gives no fuller entry, and the only mention at the table puts it on a route through Khaldun to Velkris [2].

History in the campaign

Looking at the way to Velkris, the DM remarked that it might be smarter to avoid Aurelia altogether and “just go through Khaldun and all the way through Sablemar” [2]. Terry objected that this meant a desert, a volcano and “dragon worshipping crazy people” [3], and Caelumn protested that his people were not crazy, only “just pious” [4]. The party did not take the detour: Caelumn proposed resting for the night and then heading for the shrine [5].
