The Hollow Hall Tavern is the inn in Gloamhearth at which the campaign opened. There, an hour past sunset in the unrecorded first session, Sevryn, a silver dragonborn chronurgy wizard, told the party that magic was failing across Eldurae and gave them The Egg and the hunt for a dragon’s hoard. Everything known of the evening comes from Cholmondeley’s recap at the start of session 2 [1].

Overview

The Hollow Hall Tavern is the inn in Gloamhearth where the campaign began. In the unrecorded first session the party met Sevryn there, one hour past sunset, and was given The Egg and the hunt for Death-at-Sunset’s hoard [1]. The tavern is known only from Cholmondeley’s recap at the start of session 2.

Geography and appearance

Nothing of the building is recorded. Session 1 was not recorded, and the recap names only the tavern, the town and the hour. The DM described Gloamhearth itself a session later: very human in design, with old tilted buildings that looked almost to be falling apart [2].

History in the campaign

The tavern is on the record only through the recap that opened session 2, in which Cholmondeley retold the unrecorded first session [1]. The characters had been told to be at the Hollow Hall Tavern in Gloamhearth in two days’ time, one hour past sunset, and made their way there from around the world. A silver dragonborn gave his name as Sevryn, a chronurgy wizard, and showed them a mystical-looking egg. He said that magic was falling apart and would bring the world down if it went on, that the egg could change that because it feeds on chromatic dragons and their hoards, and he sent them to the hoard of an ancient green dragon near Wyrmbough Grove [1].

As of session 23. Not shown or named since the opening recap of session 2. The party has never been seen inside it.
