Pixie Wonderbringer is the small winged fey who led the night-camp ambush of session 19 beside a pack of will-o’-wisps [1]. She blunted Caelumn’s Chromatic Orbs, turned Terry into a chicken and set Father Thomas laughing uncontrollably, until Caelumn’s Chromatic Orb dissolved her “into a fine puddle” [20][22][32][10]. The name was read off the table’s tracker, not spoken in the fiction, and the DM has confirmed that it stands.

Overview

Pixie Wonderbringer is the small winged fey who led the ambush on the party’s hilltop camp in session 19, fighting alongside a pack of will-o’-wisps, the “motes of light” [8][9]. She opened the fight by blasting Caelumn in the face with dust, which his Shield turned, and the DM called initiative [1]. She died in the same fight, to Caelumn’s Chromatic Orb [10].

The name “Pixie Wonderbringer” is not spoken in the fiction. Hugo read it off the table’s tracker mid-fight, “it says Pixie Wonderbringer, check for concentration” [11], and the players otherwise called the enemies “wisps and a pixie” [12]. The DM has since confirmed that the name stands (the DM’s post-s21 clarifications, 2026-09-27).

Appearance and demeanour

A small humanoid with wings, “she” in the DM’s narration, who flaps to stay afloat when wounded [9][13][14]. She hovers out of reach, thirty feet up, after casting [15][16], and she answers an attack in kind: after Terry cut her she turned on him [17].

Abilities as played

  • Dust. She blasted Caelumn in the face with dust, and later a “puff of fairy dust” hit Father Thomas’s shielded barrier [18][19].
  • A shield that draws in power. Caelumn’s critical Chromatic Orb was “not as effective as you thought”, and later orbs were likewise blunted [20][21].
  • Transformation. She cast a spell at Terry (Wisdom save) and he became a chicken, until Hugo’s blow knocked him out of it for 8 damage [22][23].
  • Laughter. She made Father Thomas “uncontrollably laugh”, a Wisdom save that Bless carried him through, then attacked him twice, a 12 and a 23, the second turned by Shield [4].
  • Flight. She flew up 30 feet after the transformation and hovered at that height [15][16].

Relationships

  • The wisps: fought beside her. When she died the wisp next to Caelumn “split into two”, witnessed in this fight and not shown to be a trait of every wisp [24].

On Caelumn’s watch the fire kept going out, and then two motes of light and “a small winged humanoid” blasted him with dust [27]. Her magic blunted his critical Chromatic Orb, “not as effective as you thought” [20]. When Terry cut her she turned him into a chicken, until Hugo’s blow broke the spell [28][23]. She then set Father Thomas laughing, though Bless saved him, and attacked him twice [4]. Hugo’s blow took 16 off her, and Caelumn’s Chromatic Orb dissolved her “into a fine puddle”; the wisp beside him split in two [29][30]. The wisps fell or fled before the session ended [31].

Status

As of session 19. Dead, dissolved by Caelumn’s Chromatic Orb into a puddle; no loot is recorded [10].
