Jorin and Harak are the two corrupt Nightwatch jail clerks who took Harvo’s 150gp under-the-table bribe to release Vasquez off-record from the Umbrafall jail in session 8 [1]. The official log entry for Vasquez had read “bitch-ass elf”; the under-the-table release of 75gp each (down from 100gp each Jorin and Harak originally counter-asked) cleaned the record. They are exemplars of the Nightwatch corruption that pervades the Aurelian-conspiracy thread.

Overview

Jorin and Harak are the two corrupt Nightwatch jail clerks who released Vasquez off-record on Harvo’s 150gp under-the-table bribe in session 8 [1]. The official price for full-record release with all belongings: 500gp. Harvo’s pitch — “Just quick and easy business” — opened the negotiation at 100gp under-the-table; they counter-asked 100gp each (200 total); Harvo settled at 75gp each (150 total) on Persuasion.

Their internal log entry for Vasquez had read “bitch-ass elf” [2]. The bribe cleared the entry. They are the campaign’s most direct illustration of the Aurelian conspiracy’s payoff network: the Nightwatch is corrupt and the Aurelians used that corruption to abduct Mira Hale from the Dawn Mercy Clinic in s10’s reveal.

Status as of session 16
