Gwen Homora is the elven council elder and alchemist of Wyrmbough Grove who briefed the party in the unrecorded session 1 on the corrupted Redwood Grove and on the missing-hunters mystery, supplied them with six sample-vials, brewed five poison-resistance potions from their returned bark samples [1], and explained in session 3 that the central dirt mound at the corrupted grove’s heart was the burial mound of 34 elves and the elven hero Edvan who fell against Death-at-Sunset [5]. She presided at Cholmondeley’s funeral, placing six sprigs of mosswort in the fire — one for each fallen soul and one extra for Cholmondeley.
Overview
Gwen Homora is the elven alchemist and council elder of Wyrmbough Grove who briefed the party on the corruption of the Corrupted Redwood Grove in the unrecorded session 1 and oversaw the campaign’s first real quest — collecting six bark samples from the redwood corruption — across sessions 2 and 3.
She brewed five poison-resistance potions from the returned samples [1] and provided the party’s first reliable source of in-fiction lore on the region. In session 3 she identified the central uncorrupted dirt mound at the heart of the grove as the burial mound of 34 elves and their leader Edvan, who slew Death-at-Sunset generations earlier with his long sword [3]. She presided at Cholmondeley’s funeral, placing six sprigs of mosswort in the fire — one for each fallen soul, and one extra for Cholmondeley [4].
Appearance and demeanour
Elven, council-elder. Cooperative quest-giver. Knowledgeable about both alchemy and Wyrmbough history.
History / role in the campaign
Session 1 (unrecorded)
Gathered the party with Amara outside Wyrmbough Grove (per Cholmondeley’s s2 recap), warned about the missing hunter Armin Whisperwind and four others, and supplied six empty sample vials for the corruption-bark fetch quest.
Session 2 — bark samples
Received the six bark samples from the corrupted grove. Agreed to brew protection potions; arranged supper delivery at Fergus’s Grill. Delivered five vials of poison-resistance potions brewed from the back-engineered samples — duration unknown by RAW: “I have no idea” [2].
Session 3 — the burial mound
Confirmed the corruption was driving elves out of town and identified the central dirt mound:
“34 elves gave up their lives, battling the ancient green dragon. and their leader, Edvan, was the one that finally struck the final blow against Death-at-Sunset with his mighty long sword.” — Gwen Homora, [5]
Recommended that visions some claimed to see at night might point to the dragon’s resting place — directly setting up Caelumn’s subsequent vision on the burial mound, which revealed the cave entrance.
After the party returned with Cholmondeley’s body and the cleansed grove, she presided at the funeral fire. Six sprigs of mosswort.
Relationships
- Edvan — the elven hero whose history she preserved.
- Selenor — fellow Wyrmbough Grove council member; played the war-horn at the funeral she presided over.
- Cholmondeley — funeral subject.
- Sevryn — co-quest-giver; the egg quest’s purpose was the foundation she briefed.
Disposition toward the party
Cooperative quest-giver. The corruption resolution made the party heroes of Wyrmbough in her estimation.
Status as of session 16
Alive, presumed still in Wyrmbough Grove. Off-screen since session 3. The party has not returned to Wyrmbough and have no in-fiction reason to think Gwen has changed her standing.
