The Gummy Mummy, also known in-fiction as the Gummy Prince, is the undead boss of the Candy Cottage sarcophagus chamber and one of Uncle Nibblecheek’s own creations — “the selfish prince that was once cursed by Uncle Nipplecheek” (per the Bubblegum Halfling, [4]. A glass cannon with a curse-on-hit mechanic that reduced victims’ max HP by 3d6 every 24 hours until death, the Mummy attacked with bludgeoning + necrotic on a 24-to-hit greatswing. He cursed both Caelumn and Vasquez in session 14; the party retreated up the kitchen-tower stairs and bluffed Uncle Nibblecheek into lifting the curses. The Mummy was not killed; he retreated to his sarcophagus when the immediate threats left.

Overview

The Gummy Mummy — voiced as the Gummy Prince — is the undead occupant of the hard-candy sarcophagus in the treasure room of the Candy Cottage. Per the Bubblegum Halfling, he is “the selfish prince that was once cursed by Uncle Nipplecheek” [4] — one of Uncle Nibblecheek’s own punishments, kept on staff as a treasure-room enforcer.

He emerged at the end of session 13 when Caelumn reached for cursed gold from the chest at the centre of the chamber, voicing:

“Who has disturbed my slumber?” — Gummy Mummy, [5]

Combat in session 14 was structured as a disengage-and-retreat. The Mummy was a glass cannon with very low HP and a damage-type vulnerability the party did not identify, but his hits curse on contact: 24 to hit, 10 bludgeoning + 6 necrotic on first connect, and the mummy’s curse kicks in — 3d6 max HP reduction every 24 hours until death [3]. Caelumn was downed and cursed (-13 max HP). Vasquez was downed and cursed (-11 max HP).

The party retreated. Hugo airlifted both unconscious bodies up the basement-tunnel stairs while Terry and Ruin took the kitchen-tower stairs. The Mummy returned to its sarcophagus when the immediate threats left. Two frosting-imp minions were killed in the encounter; the Mummy itself survived.

Appearance and demeanour

Undead in candy-mummy form, wrapped (presumably) in some confectionery analogue of bandages. Voice high and grand. Movement by 60-foot dash. Encounter design: he could not move past Caelumn the first round (table-rule clarification, [6] — implying he is positioned and follows fixed pathing rather than free-moving on the field.

Status as of session 16

Alive (as far as undead are alive), back in his sarcophagus. The party did not return. Future encounters with the Mummy or similar curse-on-hit creatures are anticipated; the curse mechanic (3d6 per 24 hours, removable only by Nibblecheek-tier magic or comparable) is a recorded threat.
