The unnamed Aurelian Paladin of session 10 led the alley ambush on the party in Umbrafall following the Dawn Mercy Clinic confession. AC 18 in heavy plate, two-attack greatsword dealing slashing + radiant, with a riposte reaction. His radiant-rider damage bypassed Mharos’s necrotic resistance, burning through Vasquez for full damage and revealing Mharos’s tactical weakness to radiant [2], L931). He was killed by Ruin’s Eldritch Blast at round six of the fight; his Nullstone-runed plate became Vasquez’s main armour from s10 onward.

Overview

The unnamed Aurelian Paladin of session 10 led the four-figure alley ambush on the party after the Dawn Mercy Clinic confession. Heavy plate (AC 18), two-attack greatsword with a slashing-plus-radiant rider, riposte reaction. Three lighter-armoured bandits as escort. Greatsword combat opener: “Why don’t you come join the winning side?” attempted on Caelumn (Wisdom save passed).

His radiant-rider damage bypassed Mharos’s necrotic resistance and burned through Vasquez for full damage [2], L931). This is the campaign’s tactical reveal that Mharos is weak to radiant.

He was killed in round six by Ruin’s Eldritch Blast finisher. His plate was looted, identified as Nullstone-runed by Ruin’s Identify (Constitution save with disadvantage from the armour’s resistance, succeeded), and modified by Vasquez over a long rest from Aurelian sunburst to his adopted-dwarf-family crest [3]. The armour has been Vasquez’s main armour from s10 onward.
