The All Hammer

The All Hammer is the hammer-of-forge, iron-coded deity worshipped by Althea Stormsoro. Earlier transcripts and table notes rendered the name as “the All-Father” / “All Father”; per the DM corrections register (post-s17), the canonical name is The All Hammer. Worship is structured around forge imagery: “by hammer, by fire, by the ring of creation” is the spoken cadence used in Bless and other rite-incantations. Distinct from Aurelia’s Pure Light and from Vhal’Zarim’s Bahamut faith - per the DM corrections register, the All Hammer is its own religious system, not part of either.

Overview

The All Hammer is the hammer-of-forge, iron-coded deity worshipped by Althea Stormsoro (a 3-foot white-scaled kobold cleric/paladin, joined s15). Worship is structured around forge imagery: hammer, fire, ring of creation, anvil-and-strike. Althea’s Bless cadence “by hammer, by fire, by the ring of creation, to grant them strength” is the most-quoted in-fiction prayer form.

Distinction from other faiths

Per the DM corrections register, the All Hammer is not part of Aurelia’s Pure Light religion, and not part of Vhal’Zarim’s Bahamut faith. It is its own religious system. Cholmondeley’s former paladinhood was Pure Light / Aurelian-aligned and is unrelated to the All Hammer.

Known doctrine and practice

  • Forge imagery throughout. Prayers, rites, and incantations use hammer/fire/ring-of-creation language.
  • Reliquary practice. Althea’s silver-and-gold gorget with a burning gem is an All Hammer reliquary (s17-era book passage).
  • Channel Divinity (Turn Undead). Used in the s15 needle-blight + flame-skull encounter.
  • Funeral cadence. Althea sings the All Hammer funeral rite under her breath after the s16 sarcophagus fight.

Status as of session 17

Active in the campaign through Althea Stormsoro (now departed offscreen per the s17 retcon). No other clerics of the All Hammer have appeared on-screen. Temples have been referenced in passing - Althea asked Phil about rumoured All Hammer temples on the eastern coast (s17-era book passage).
