Nick
Nick is the Dungeon Master and worldbuilder for the campaign. The setting of Eldurae is his homebrew, and he has run every session of the recorded run (s2-current). All non-player voices in the corpus — Sevryn, The Black Mask, The Broker, Mharos, Bubba Walker, the Aurelian Patrol Commander, the Hollow Guardians, and several hundred others — are his.
Characters played
- DM (s2-current) — runs the world of Eldurae and voices every NPC. Homebrew authorship includes the Six Powers cosmology, the Path of Bloodfury subclass for Hugo, the Project Veilbreak backstory, and the Mharos parasite mechanic.
At the table
Nick’s DM cadence is vivid setting prose, scene-cuts, and a deep NPC voice library. He picks the recap-doer at the start of each session by die roll (“Let’s see, that would be a four. So Chris!”). He occasionally self-corrects in real time when an outcome lands harder than he intended — most visibly at [1], after killing Ruin: “Wait, that’s not what I wanted.”
The DM voices that recur most often in the transcripts are Sevryn (telepathic mentor, “Everything is happening the way it’s supposed to.”, [2], The Black Mask (silky tempter, “Of course, of course. Of course.”), The Broker (vessel-of-information cadence), Mharos (ominous and hungry), and the childlike Cousin-Itt-flavoured Bubba Walker. The diariser frequently splits Nick across multiple Speaker N labels in s5-s13 transcripts because his NPC voicing is distinct enough to fool the speaker-segmentation model; the voiceprints document treats most low-frequency phantom labels in those sessions as Nick on an NPC voice.
