Party Roster
The Party Roster lists every player character in the recorded campaign - active, departed, and deceased - with quick links to per-PC entity files, players, race / class, sessions of activity, and current status. As of session 20 the active party is Terry, Hugo, Caelumn, Barney Amoran, and Father Thomas. Barney Amoran (Trey’s new character, a High Elf artificer) replaced Steven in session 20 via a dual-memory retcon that erased Steven from continuity; out of character, Steven’s player Ash left the table and Trey joined. Hugo (Dylan) was absent for session 20. Father Thomas is Brian’s new character, a human Twilight Cleric of the Pure Light who joined in s19 to atone for Mike’s execution. Mike (Brian’s s17-s18 character) was killed by Glenn at the Bright Gate patrol intercept in s18. Vasquez and Althea were retconned at the start of session 17 as captured by Aurelians at the end of session 16 and are departed offscreen - their players (Polar and Maliwana) left the table between sessions 16 and 17, and the rescue is not an active campaign arc. Four named PCs have now died on-screen: Cholmondeley (s3), Harvo (s9), Ruin (s15), and Mike (s18). One PC (Earthwing the Owlin) was a one-session cameo never actually played in combat.
Active party (as of session 20)
| Character | Player | Race / Class | Sessions | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Terry | Chris | Tortle / Fighter 1 / Bladesinger Wizard 3 | s4-s19 | Bard 3 → respec to Fighter 1 / Wizard 2 → currently Bladesinger 3. Owl familiar Earthwing. -1 CHA permanent (s9). Bladesong now classified as detectable arcane power in Aurelia (DM ruling [1]; pivoted to “fuck it mentality” post-Mike-execution [2]. s19: Polymorphed into a chicken by the Pixie [3]; Silvery Barbs ×3 (saved Caelumn from a wisp nat-20, [4]; Arcanthys homesickness + “raised by a rat in the sewers” backstory beat [5]. s20: regained a point of Charisma by returning Harvo’s melody on watch, reversing the s9 loss [6]; bodyguarded Laura Bennett in the road ambush behind Blade Song and Mirror Image for zero damage. |
| Hugo | Dylan | Barbarian (Path of Bloodfury, custom) | s2-s19 | Real name Corvin; Project Veilbreak survivor; Voidforged (race named on-transcript first in [7]; Black Mask pact bearer; Onyx Ring of Barbed Hooks. Pact terms renegotiated s17 (second attack-dog clause). s18: refused the DM-offered Black Mask intervention hook [8] and let Mike die rather than risk the party [9]. s19 (Hugo-only): the Wraith re-applied his conditioning (“Teddy Bear. Lamp.”, [10] and the Black Mask undid it — first payoff of her s17 promise [11] — while pressing the “second deal” [12]. Killed 2+ wisps via Winged Boots [13], L1810). s20: absent (Dylan could not attend), handled in-fiction as the barbarian simply not present; the Vel’Kris forged-ledger hook is his and stalls in his absence [14]. |
| Caelumn | Toby | Sorcerer (Draconic Bloodline, exact dragon type unresolved) | s2-s19 | From Vhal’Zarim - “the very south of the continent”. Trained but partial member of the Platinum Order (clerical training canonicalised [15]. Bahamut faith - Vhal’Zarim is a cathedral city per the s18 backstory dump; eternal-flame eschatology. Holds Soulbinder’s Packed Ring (Maelis + 1 owlbear soul). Backpack including the Egg stolen s15. s18: revived Mike with Cure Wounds [16]. s19: argued to abandon Aurelia (“lose six more”, [17]; kept his faith covert before Father Thomas; nearly downed in the fey fight (~3 HP, [18]; killed the Pixie (“Melt the bitch”, [19]; Bloodwell Vial confirmed in play [20]. s20: MVP of the ghoul ambush (three kills, [21], L1571, L1648); negotiated the Laura Bennett hire on a Persuasion check at advantage of 22 [22]; tied the failing ley lines to the world-dragon and eyed Barney Amoran’s detector as a dragon-finder [23]. |
| Barney Amoran | Trey | High Elf Artificer (Armorer) | s20+ | Trey’s new character, replacing Steven via the s20 dual-memory retcon. A self-professed magic-sceptic who fights through a self-built power suit, Thunder Gauntlets, adamantine plate, and a magical screwdriver-wand, and carries a ley-line detector [24], L1485, L1620). Out to investigate the failing ley lines around Aurelia; rescued from an unexplained wreckage; elected the party’s decision-maker [25]. s20 debut: ended the road ambush by punching a ghoul’s head off with the suit’s stored energy [26]. |
| Father Thomas | Brian | Human Twilight Cleric (Pure Light) | s19+ | Brian’s new character after Mike’s s18 execution. “Father Thomas, Priest of the Pure Light” (DM also calls him “Aldrich”/“Sir Aldrich”). A serving Aurelian priest from the patrol that killed Mike, now on a leave of absence to atone [27], L708). 300-ft Twilight darkvision, advantage on initiative, Twilight Sanctuary, Shillelagh + Booming Blade (War Caster); Shield ruled arcane [28]. Penitent but still steeped in Aurelian harshness (“perhaps only a finger”, [29]. s20: bluffed the Aurelian Binder patrol; anchored the ambush with Twilight Sanctuary and Turn Undead; his deity is named the Everlight [30]; his atonement wavered at the sight of undead [31]. |
Departed offscreen (captured per s17 retcon; not an active rescue arc)
| Character | Player | Race / Class | Sessions | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Vasquez | Polar | Half-Demon (Elf), Fighter, Mage Slayer | s2-s16 | Originally half-elf; transformed by Mharos s9. Custom gunblade. Aurelian Plate Armour with Nullstone Runes re-engraved with adopted dwarf family crest. Hat of Disguise attuned s16 — destroyed in the s17 retcon escape [32]. Aliases: Bruise, Cruz. Captured by Aurelians at the s16 sewer mid-point per [33], L785. Departed offscreen — not expected to return. |
| Althea Stormsoro | Maliwana | White-scaled kobold cleric/paladin of the All Hammer | s15-s16 | Joined as Mordane’s replacement in s15. Silver-and-gold gorget with burning gem (significance still unrevealed). Captured by Aurelians at the s16 sewer mid-point per [33], L785. Departed offscreen — not expected to return. |
The s17 retcon is in-fiction; the real-world meta (the Polar and Maliwana departures between sessions 16 and 17) is documented in their respective player handle articles. The rescue is not a campaign arc — the characters are departed in the same category as the deceased PCs below, not pending recovery. See also the s16 Retcon block and the session 17 recap.
Former party members
| Character | Player | Race / Class | Sessions | Status | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Earthwing the Owlin | Chris | Owlin (cameo) | s3 only | Departed | One-scene cameo at Cholmondeley’s funeral feast; never played in combat. Replaced by Terry. Name reused for Terry’s owl familiar. |
Former players
| Player | Last character | Sessions at table | Reason |
|---|---|---|---|
| Polar | Vasquez (s2-s16; captured in s16 retcon) | s2-s16 | Departed between sessions 16 and 17. See Polar for the DM’s Discord statement. |
| Maliwana | Althea Stormsoro (s15-s16; captured in s16 retcon) | s15-s16 | Departed between sessions 16 and 17. See Maliwana for the DM’s Discord statement. |
| Ash | Steven (s17-s19; retconned out in s20) | s17-s19 | Left the table between sessions 19 and 20; Steven was retconned out and replaced by Trey’s Barney Amoran. |
Deceased characters
| Character | Player | Race / Class | Sessions | Death | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cholmondeley | Chris | Human (variant) Paladin, Pure Light / Aurelian-aligned | s2-s3 | [34]; killed by the yuan-ti woman’s bite during the Sunset is Nigh lair fight. | Last words: “I hate you all.” Funeral at Wyrmbough Grove. |
| Harvalent Irsaron | Mordane | Half-elf Artificer | s2-s9 | [35]; decapitated by dominated Hugo’s hand-axe nat-20 crit. | Last words: “Well, fuck.” Pyre at Black Vein Quarry. Terry’s failed Rite of Returning at the funeral cost -1 CHA. |
| Ruin | Mordane | Tiefling Warlock | s10-s15 | [36]; decapitated by Aurelian chain-master in scripted execution (no save). | Body not recovered. No funeral. The execution doubled as the in-fiction send-off for Mordane’s removal from the table. |
| Mike | Brian | Vedalken cleric / druid / wizard (Mizzium Apparatus) | s17-s18 | [37] (843-03-31); decapitated by Glenn (Aurelian patrol knight) at the road approach to the Bright Gate with a greatsword on Round 2 of the patrol intercept; max damage. Mike had attempted Message via the Mizzium Apparatus mid-conversation; the DM ruled the apparatus-cast counts as arcane spellcasting; the confessor’s Insight beat Steven’s disadvantage-Deception. | Body buried roadside by Hugo with a hand-axe [38]. Mizzium Apparatus and spellbook confiscated by the patrol [39], L2437). Player Brian remains at the table; rolling a new character for s19. |

Replacement-PC pattern
Across the campaign, Sevryn has filled three PC vacancies via the same pattern: a stranger walks into the camp / scene at the right moment, carrying a sealed letter or a Sevryn reference. The recipients are noted by date order:
- Earthwing the Owlin — appeared at Cholmondeley’s funeral feast, [40]. Replaced within a session (off-screen) by Terry.
- Terry — appeared at The Still Current Inn in Mirestrand, s4. Active continuously since.
- Ruin — appeared at Harvo’s pyre, [41], with a sealed letter from Sevryn.
Althea Stormsoro is the one PC who joined without explicit Sevryn recruitment — she fled into the party’s clearing in s15 pursued by an Aurelian patrol.
The s17 newcomers Mike and Steven are a fourth variant on the pattern: not Sevryn-recruited explicitly, but found clinging to wreckage of an Aurelian-sunk ship in the Sapphire Sea and pulled aboard the party’s skiff [42]. Whether Sevryn engineered the rescue (per Hugo’s in-character speculation, [43] is unconfirmed. Mike’s tenure on this pattern is now closed (killed s18 by Glenn at the Bright Gate patrol intercept).
Father Thomas (Brian’s s19 replacement) is a fifth variant again: not Sevryn-recruited, but a serving Aurelian Pure Light priest from the very patrol that executed Mike, who caught up to the party’s camp on the road to atone and asked to travel with them, having taken a leave from his order [27], L708). He is the first PC to join from the antagonists’ own ranks.
Barney Amoran (Trey’s s20 replacement for Steven) is a different case entirely: not recruited in-fiction at all, but written into the party’s history by a dual-memory retcon, with the memory of a companion named Steven overwritten so that Barney has “always been here” [24]. In the doubled memory the party “rescued him from the wreckage” [44], an echo of the s17 shipwreck rescue that first brought Mike and Steven aboard.
