Harvo: Inventory at Death
Inventory for Harvo (full name Harvalent Irsaron, of Arcanthys, [71]) at his death in session 9. Mordane’s first character, a half-elf artificer sent by Sevryn, arrived in reinforced leather with the egg-carrier he had built and a gun he made +1 overnight [1][2][3]. His alchemist’s supplies and healer’s kit did much of the party’s identifying and patching up, and in session 7 he traded a jar of Biogloom for five healing potions [32][5]. A Succubus-dominated Hugo killed him with a hand-axe critical [64][66]. His gun’s infusion lapsed, Hugo took his healing potion, and Vasquez cut a charm from his weapon [40][7][8].
Equipment (mundane)
- Reinforced leather: he waited at the tree line “in reinforced leather” [1]. Fate: on his body at the pyre [9].
- Sevryn’s Egg-Carrier: “a brass-glass device humming faintly” at his side [1], which he gave the party “as my first” “gesture and a sign of my goodwill” [2]. Fate: in Caelumn’s keeping [10]; lost with Caelumn’s pack in session 15.
- Alchemist’s supplies: his way of identifying things. They confirmed the dryad’s potion [11][12], made poor work of the Warrens’ red vials, “Could just be dyed water, really.” [13][14], and found two healing potions, a potion of poison resistance and a greater one among the Warrens’ kegs [15][16]. He kept a slice of a fungal creature in an empty vial [17][18] and said he could brew healing potions for 25 gold [19]. Fate: not recorded.
- Healer’s kit: from the bandit loot [20][21]. With his Battle Medic feat a patient spends a hit die and adds two [22]; on Vasquez it came to 16 [23][24], and again in the quarry [25]. “Healer’s kit has 10 uses. I’ve used one.” [26]. Fate: not recorded.
- Vial of acid: from the fleeing cultists, “go ahead and add a vial of acid to your inventory” [27]. Fate: not mentioned again.
- Dragon tooth: “I’d like to rip out a tooth.” [28][29]. Fate: not mentioned again.
- Biogloom jar: the stoppered cap from Maelis Dirn’s desk, “almost like trying to bind to you through the glass” [30][31]. Fate: traded in session 7, with his creature samples, to the Whisper Coil Emporium dwarf for five healing potions [32][33][5].
- A shovel for Vasquez: made with Tinker’s magic from a metal plate he carried, and tossed over [34][35].
Magic items
- His gun: “a very unique looking gun from his side” [36], improved overnight, “the gun, which is now plus one” [3]; he shot sabretooths with it [37]. The +1 was an infusion: at the pyre “it’s because of infusion so it’s basically the gun he has so it’s nothing” [38][7]. Fate: Vasquez cut a small piece of metal from one of his weapons for a charm [39][40]; the rest is not recorded.
- Eldritch Cannon: his artificer turret, unfolding “into little spider legs” [41] and fired as a ballista [42]. The Titan’s stone did “21 bludgeoning damage” and destroyed it, and he summoned another [43][4][44][45]. It ended with him.
Consumables and components
- Healing potions: Caelumn gave him one when he was down, in session 7 [46][47]. From the trade he kept one and gave the other four to the party [48]. Fate: at the pyre, “I would take the healing potion.” ([8], Hugo).
- Potion of poison resistance: one of Gwen Homora’s [49].
- Coin: his share of the bandit haul, one gold, 50 silver and 80 copper [50][51]. In session 8 he carried Caelumn’s 130 gold and the party’s gold to bargain Vasquez’s bail down from 500 to 150, and paid it [52][53][54]. Fate of his own coin: not recorded.
Permanent notes
- Identifier. Besides his alchemy, he identified the Gloom-Touched Buckler in ten minutes [55][56], Maelis Dirn’s ring and the Broker’s axe [57][58], and, by Identify, the Charlatan’s Die, which he threw back to Hugo: “It’s just some shit if you want to cheat.” [59][6][60].
- Death (s9). With Hugo dominated by the succubus and sent at Vasquez [61][62], he chose to “fucking stand in the way of the raging controlled barbarian cause why the fuck not fuck you” [63]. Hugo’s second hand axe was a natural 20 for 23 [64][65], and it took his head [66]. His last words: “Well, fuck.” [67][68]. The party carried him out and burned him on a pyre [69][9].
