Father Thomas — Inventory

Inventory for Father Thomas (Brian’s character from session 19), a human Twilight Cleric of the Aurelian Pure Light who joined the party in s19. His loadout is deliberately spare — white robes, a holy-symbol shield, a quarterstaff and club, and jeweler’s tools he intends to use to craft 50 gp platinum-ring spell foci.

Equipment (mundane)

• White robes — his Pure Light order’s vestments; he wears no armour ^[1].
• White wooden tight shield bearing his holy symbol — both a shield and his holy symbol; he raises it when invoking his god (“I hold up my shield with the Holy Temple and say, the power of my God shall protect us all”, ^[1], L726).
• Quarterstaff — his walking staff and the focus for Shillelagh; he leans on it to walk and whirls it to cast ^[1], L710). He notes he can “really only reasonably use quarter staff and clubs” ^[2].
• Club — backup melee weapon; he takes his club and attacks a wisp with it in the fey ambush ^[2], L1709).
• Holy symbol — embodied in the white wooden shield ^[1], L726).

Tools & crafting

• Jeweler’s tools ^[2] — Father Thomas’s intended source of spell foci. He plans to take 50 gold (five platinum pieces), melt them in a crucible, and craft platinum rings worth 50 gp each to serve as the material components for his spells ^[3]. Hugo confirmed in conversation that components with a listed gp value (like a 50 gp platinum ring) must actually be supplied, not hand-waved ^[4]. None had been crafted on-screen by the end of s19.
• Woodcarver’s tools ^[5]: used during the Eldwythe downtime to begin carving runes into his quarterstaff, “the beginnings of the creation of a magical staff.” The first runes were cut successfully, but the DM ruled they are inert until filled with magical ink, a gold-cost material component Thomas does not yet have ^[6]. He treats the work as against his religion and hides it from Barney when the artificer notices it, insisting he practises only divine magic ^[7].

Magic items

• None identified yet. Father Thomas carries no identified magic items as of session 19; his combat magic is innate clerical spellcasting (see below), not item-based. As of session 20 he has begun crafting one of his own: a work-in-progress magical staff, its runes carved but inert pending magical ink (see Tools & crafting above) ^[5], L769).

Spell foci & components

• The planned 50 gp platinum rings (above) are his intended material-component supply ^[3].
• His quarterstaff doubles as a spellcasting/Shillelagh focus ^[8].
