Failed or dropped quests as of end of session 16. As of s16, no quests are canonically failed — Risa walked out of the Glomangol Inn disappointed but the conspiracy investigation continues. See Active Quests for ongoing work; Completed Quests for resolved ones.

Quests that the party formally failed, or quests that were dropped without resolution. Each entry: name, giver, objective, why it failed, session of failure.

Borderline / declined / abandoned

These are not failures in the strict sense but bear noting:

Aurelian Assassination Contract (declined s10)

• Giver: The Broker
• Objective: Assassinate a high-ranking political figure in Aurelia; must look like an accident; two-week deadline. Reward: 200gp.
• Status: Declined s10 — the party could not fit it within the deadline given their other commitments. Remains technically open through the Broker.
• Could be re-offered later.

Find a home for Nancy (effectively closed s2-s3)

• Giver: Cholmondeley’s personal goal.
• Objective: Find a safe home for the small girl Cholmondeley rescued from execution.
• Status: Closed at end of s2 when Nancy stormed off (“fuck you, fuck your horses, fuck your face and your stupid ass moustache” — ^[1], then reopened s3 when Nancy reappeared at Cholmondeley’s funeral and asked to stay with the party. Caelumn voted no; per s4 narration, Nancy was left at Wyrmbough Grove. Effectively dropped, not failed.
