About this tracker
Completed quests, listed by session of completion. Each entry: name, giver, objective, completion session, reward, notes.
Wyrmbough Grove bark samples (s2)
- Giver: Gwen Homora
- Objective: Collect six bark samples from the Corrupted Redwood Grove outside Wyrmbough Grove for Gwen’s alchemical analysis.
- Completed: s2 (all six samples delivered, L2700-2706).
- Reward: Five vials of poison-resistance potion brewed from the samples (delivered at supper at Fergus’s Grill, [1]; duration “I have no idea” per Gwen). Used to drink-up before the s3 lair descent.
Cleanse the Corrupted Grove (s3)
- Giver: implicit (consequence of clearing Sunset is Nigh’s Lair).
- Objective: Resolve the corruption affecting the Corrupted Redwood Grove and the surrounding area.
- Completed: s3 — corruption faded from the grove with Sunset is Nigh’s death and The Egg’s absorption of Death-at-Sunset’s residual essence [2], Gwen’s perception that the corruption was abating).
- Reward: Wyrmbough elves’ gratitude; the village green funeral for Cholmondeley; eight portions of dragon meat prepared by Fergus; the dragon-skull crown for Hugo.
Rescue Armin Whisperwind (s3)
- Giver: implicit (referenced from the unrecorded s1 briefing).
- Objective: Find and rescue the missing elf hunter Armin Whisperwind.
- Completed: s3 — Armin encountered at the cave mouth, talked down by Caelumn’s 23 Persuasion, escorted home alive [3].
- Reward: village goodwill; Armin’s gratitude.
Maelis Dirn + the Titan contract (s7)
- Giver: The Broker
- Objective: Kill Maelis Dirn (a.k.a. “Coven Filth”) in The Warrens beneath Umbrafall. She was running a protection racket via leather-masked collectors and a giant minion (“the Titan”).
- Completed: [4]. After Hugo destroyed the fifth fungal node, the Titan looked at Maelis through the ring she was using to control him, declared “No more”, and slammed her with two boulders — the second a natural 20 for 34 bludgeoning damage, reducing her to “a fine mist into the ground”. The Titan then looked at Hugo before disappearing forever.
- Reward: Free passage through the Hollow + 50gp + 2 vials of bio-gloom toxin + the Greataxe of Frost +1 (gifted to Hugo) + a sending stone for future contracts. Also looted from the body: the Soulbinder’s Packed Ring (Caelumn) and 50gp from Maelis’s purse.
- Side effects: Maelis’s research notes and the forged Duskwatch shipping ledger held by Hugo (still active as quest). The Wraith dream Hugo had at the Glomangol Inn confirmed Project monitoring of his “leash weakening”.
Mining quest at Black Vein Quarry (s9)
- Giver: The Broker
- Objective: Investigate why miners at the Black Vein Quarry (a day-and-a-half’s travel north of Umbrafall) had stopped reporting back. Last sighting: ~3 weeks. Reward offered: 100gp.
- Completed: s9. The party found the miners had been corrupted into ghosts by a cracked red crystal (radiating enchantment) being controlled by a Succubus. The crystal was destroyed; the succubus killed; the ghosts dispatched. Rare ore not retrieved [5]; the party did not pursue the original ore extraction goal.
- Reward (paid): 100gp from the Broker [6]. Split four ways between Hugo, Caelumn, Terry, Vasquez; Ruin excluded since he wasn’t on the quest.
- Cost: Harvo killed by a dominated Hugo [7]. Vasquez bonded to Mharos and visibly transformed into a half-demon-elf. Terry permanent -1 Charisma from the failed Rite of Returning at the pyre [8].
- Bay item: an Ilmater holy pendant from a deceased priest of Ilmater on the upper quarry platforms; Hugo intends to show the Broker (an unexplained lead — a non-local cleric came to investigate before the party arrived).
Brioche retrieval (s14)
- Giver: Phil Flowerforge
- Objective: Find the small red dragon Briochebane, raised by Phil from a stolen egg in his brigand days, somewhere in the eastern woods of Eldwythe. Reward: 100gp + a sack of warm cinnamon rolls. Ruin negotiated a private side-deal in s12 for an additional 20gp + 12 cinnamon rolls upfront in exchange for not snitching about Phil’s brigand past.
- Completed: s14 — party recovered Brioche from Uncle Nibblecheek’s Candy Cottage, where he had been mind-controlled (cloudy white eyes). Terry fed him a brioche-bun from Phil’s bakery to break the mind-control [9]. After Vasquez grappled Nibblecheek and Brioche breath-attacked from behind, Nibblecheek pleaded mercy and lifted all curses and transformations.
- Reward: NOT collected — the Aurelians occupied Eldwythe within less than a day [10] with wanted posters of all five PCs. The party retreated; Phil rescued them with a smoke bomb in s15. Phil and Brioche are travelling separately as of end of s15. The party considers the rescue itself “reward enough” per s15.
- CRITICAL DISCOVERY: Brioche’s scales are gold with reddish, not chromatic [11]. Sevryn’s quest is for chromatic dragons; the egg did NOT resonate with Brioche when Terry walked it past [12]. Sevryn’s magic appears to have misfired — the party plans to take Brioche to Sevryn to sort it out.
