Session 22 resumes the fight that session 21 paused, on the same night, in the cell block of the ridge temple north of Greysmere. Hugo’s natural 20 destroys the living skin [39][40], and Caelumn ends a regenerating kobold by burning the painting that held its wounds, which Terry found under a floor tile [41][85][42]. A secret whispered to a mural of a hooded, one-eyed figure opens a hidden door [10][11], and behind it a towering statue, “the Vecna statue” in the DM’s later words [225], hides Rime, a wounded silver dragon wyrmling shot and tracked by Aurelian hunters [13][133][44][125]. He says a woman who “came in here a couple of weeks ago”, giving her name as “Mother Sarah”, spoke of “bringing back stronger undead”, and he promises to help the party face her [43][145]. Toppling a mummy-lord statue in a hidden five-sided chamber wakes two flameskulls that merge into one before Father Thomas’s Moonbeam ends it [163][45][21]. Beneath it lie about 150 gold coins and The Book of Secrets, a silver-inlaid book bearing Vecna’s sigil that shows foreign text when Father Thomas whispers a secret into it [46][187][47][25]. Resting outside “the Temple of Vecna”, the party watches one cultist and five undead minions walk in as the session ends [29][48].

Recap heard at start of session
Waiting for Caelumn’s player, the DM picked Father Thomas with a quick roll to recap session 21, telling him “don’t cheat” when Terry suggested the wiki [30][31][32]. Hugo supplied the start, the town and the severed hand [33]. Father Thomas covered the hand as a guiding rod, the entrance undead, the hand stopping after a kill (“So apparently it belonged to one of them.”, a player’s claim) and the skin creature [34], but began with following “the goblin” and put “the symbol of the hand of Vecna” on the cave [35][36], which was Vecna’s symbol [37]. The DM: “Uh, good enough.” [38].
Executive Summary
Session 22 finished session 21’s fight and pushed deeper into the ridge temple. Hugo destroyed the living skin with a natural 20 [39][40], and Caelumn killed a regenerating kobold by burning the painting that bore its wounds [41][42]. A secret whispered to a mural opened a hidden door [11], and the voice in the statue beyond was Rime, a silver dragon wyrmling wounded by Aurelian hunters, who wants the party to stop a woman calling herself “Mother Sarah” [13][43][44]. Two flameskulls under a toppled mummy-lord statue merged into one before Father Thomas’s Moonbeam ended it [45][21], and the hole beneath held about 150 gold coins and The Book of Secrets, which answered Father Thomas’s whispered secret with foreign text [46][47][25]. Resting outside, the party watched a cultist and five undead minions walk in, and the DM promised a level up once the dungeon is done [48][49].
Narrative
The fight resumed in the cell block on Hugo’s turn [1][50], and the DM played Terry as still poisoned (“Remember you are currently poisoned.”, [3]), although session 21 had cleared him [51]. The living skin wrapped Hugo’s face and squeezed [52], and Caelumn’s Fire Bolt left only “a small scorch mark” [53].
Then the dice turned strange. On the creature’s natural 1, Hugo held the DM to session 21’s fumble [54][55][56], and the d100 came up 13, to no effect [57]. Its next blow was a natural 20, which Terry’s Silvery Barbs, adding “one point to the Silvery Barbs counter”, turned into a 9 [58][59][5][60]. When Terry rolled a natural 20 of his own [61], a kobold popped out of a hidey hole as a scroll burned, forcing a reroll; the 18 still hit, but without the critical [62][63].
Hugo tore the skin off his face on an Athletics 15 [64][65], and it took Caelumn from behind: “you are grappled, and you are blinded, and you can’t breathe” [66]. Caelumn, out of first-level slots, could not pull it free: “It is strong.” [67][68]. Hugo ended it with a reckless natural 20 for 34, and “it flails one last time before it falls to the ground” [69][39][70][40]. The living skin is destroyed, killed by Hugo.
The kobold, knee-high to Hugo, had been “hiding underneath the tiles” of a cell already searched [71][72]. Father Thomas’s Command sent it fleeing, and the wound from Hugo’s parting blow healed at once [73][74][75][76][77]. It came straight back, taunting in the DM’s voice, “I’m back, bitches!” [40][78], and nothing stuck: a stab closed up with “did you keep the receipt”, a severed arm “just magically uh regrows”, and Caelumn’s Sorcerous Burst drew “Do it again. I like that one.” [79][80][81]. Terry took the Study action and, on a 17, lifted the tile it had come from to find a painting of the kobold “horribly aged and deadly wounded” [82][83][41]. Terry knew it at once: “Oh, it’s fucking Dorian Gray, okay.” [84]. Caelumn set Create Bonfire under the painting, and the kobold aged violently as “all the injuries over the ages start to come back to him”, until he lost his arm and his head and exploded [85][42]. The kobold is destroyed, killed by Caelumn; Terry found the painting. Where it got its scroll, and whom it served, is unknown.
After a mid-session break, the DM put the party “roughly 20-30 minutes” into the temple and “a 40 minute walk back to Greysmere” [86][87][88], so Laura Bennett’s midday deadline looked safe [89][90][91]. They did not stop to rest [92][93][94]. In “the room it came out of”, the living skin’s own cell, lay “a corpse without skin slightly decayed flesh”, beside an unfinished “help” on the wall [95][96][97], and Hugo dragged the body along [98].
Father Thomas found no traps in the hallway of skeletons [99][100][101], but Hugo’s Perception found a mural behind them: a hooded figure “with one eye and a missing left hand”, worshippers whose painted mouths “connect by a thin silver line to its remaining ear”, and a riddle carved beneath [102][10]. The players took the figure for Vecna. Hugo worked out the answer but would not speak a secret himself [103][104], so Caelumn whispered one: “I used to go to the The priestesses’ bathing rooms and sneak peeks.” [105][106]. It echoed through the chambers, a seam opened in the mural, and “another worshipper joins the mural that looks vaguely like you” [11]; the others heard it [107]. Caelumn declared himself cursed (“Vecna knows I’m a perv, and I’m cursed.”, [108]), but asked whether he felt any different, the DM said no [109][12].
Through the door, “a hooded stone figure” rose almost to the ceiling, its left hand ending at the wrist and one eye chiselled away, with incense burning in “a dragon chessboard at its feet” [12]. Its voice asked who had sent them, and Caelumn said a nearby village, “to look for kidnapped children” [12][110]. It demanded “the covered meal from the dining room”, sent them “back the way you came from and to the left”, and warned Terry off [111][112][113][114]. Hugo handed Caelumn the skinless corpse as an offering for “your Lord Vecna”, and Caelumn declared a bonfire under it at “the offering bowl” [115][116]; the DM narrated only “an audible sigh” and small feet going down inside the statue [117][118], so the body’s fate is not narrated. When Caelumn peered in through the eye socket [119], a small silver dragon squeezed out through a panel at the statue’s back, “keeping one foreleg close to its chest as a black bolt protrudes below his left shoulder” [13].
His first words were that she was not supposed to start taking people [13]. He gave his name, Rime [120][121]; to Caelumn, who saw in him “the reincarnation of my lord” and pressed him to admit he was platinum, he was “just a silver dragon” [121][122][123], and a wyrmling, “not very powerful”, as the DM later told the table [124][125][126]. He had heard Caelumn’s secret through the walls (“Are you the one that looked at You know priestesses changing.”, [127]), and Caelumn’s denial (“I am much too devout of a believer in the Platinum Dragon to do such a thing.”, [128]) fooled nobody. Then he begged them to stop “her”, as a black pulse ran up through the statue with “a small ache in all your bones” [129]. She “came in here a couple of weeks ago”, gave her name as “Mother Sarah” and spoke of “bringing back stronger undead” [130][43]; she is probably session 21’s Mother [131], though the DM has not said so.
Father Thomas’s Perception recognised the bolt as “an Aurelian bolt” [132][133], and Rime said that “aurelian hunters found me and tracked me all the way here”, and that he hid in the temple “but not before the cultist found me” [44]. Father Thomas’s History check of 36 recalled that Aurelia and Vhal’Zarim had hunted dragons, apparently metallic ones too, to near extinction [134][135][136][137]. Rime recognised Father Thomas’s seal and panicked, taking him for a hunter [138][139], until Terry vouched for him (“Oh, it’s okay. He’s a good one, somehow.”, [140]), Caelumn called him “a defector from the Aurelian army” [141], and Thomas declared that he now follows the Everlight [142]. Thomas drew the bolt and Caelumn healed the dragon for 15 [143][144]. Rime promised “Once you’re ready to face, Sarah I’ll give you a hand” [145], owned that the statue’s demands had been a ruse to buy time [146][147], and ate Father Thomas’s goodberry before crawling back into the statue [148][149].
Hugo’s long search of the walls found “a secret passageway up here”, and Terry’s recheck, at disadvantage, “a secret door down here” [150][151][152][153][154]. Terry’s door came first [155]: through “a short tunnel that opens into a five-sided chamber”, a cobwebbed statue that “seems to be depicting a mummy lord” stood over a circular seam, its stone eyes seeming to follow Caelumn [156][157][158][159][160]. Hugo found “it’s kind of like a cork. So you can’t move it, but you can shove it over.”, and shoved: “you see two skulls ignite their eyes. Everyone roll for initiative.” [161][162][163]. No mummy lord was fought.
These were flameskulls, “a floating skull made out of fire” [164]; the DM’s verdict was “it’s almost like disturbing ancient tombs with mummy lord statues it’s a warning”, and later “running is always a valid option” [165][166]. Each skull opened with a blast of fire, the second following Hugo round a corner as he fell back towards “a dragon ally in the other room”; then came volleys of darts [167][168][169][170][171][172]. Then one skull flew into the other, merging “in a whirlpool of fire”, and “it spawns what looks to be a monkey skull and a dragon skull” [45]. Terry, out of spells, held the doorway with the Dodge action, the reason it could not get out [173][174][175]. Father Thomas’s Moonbeam did the rest [176][177][178]: “As it passes past the Flameskull, you hear a the fire extinguishes and the skulls drop to the floor. That’s the end of initiative.” [21]. The merged flameskull is destroyed, killed by Father Thomas. Guided by his Religion check, he sprinkled holy water by chat to stop the skulls returning: “The magic disappears.” [179][180][181][182][183].
In the hole the statue had corked lay “a book resting on top of a lot of gold coins” [46]: blank, but titled “the Book of Secrets”, “a very beautiful silver inlaid book with Vecna’s sigil on it” [184][185][186][187]. This is The Book of Secrets. Terry took it into his shell “for further study” and kept it in a contested Athletics check, so Caelumn pocketed the coins, “roughly 150 of them” [188][189][190][191][192][47][193]. Then the plague: Terry remembered his session-21 anti-toxin as a failed save, and the DM let another dose “redo the check” [194][195][196]; Terry and Father Thomas, following by chat, both cleared it on 22s [197][198][199][200].
Caelumn’s wish to “check the other secret passageway first” led to a second five-sided chamber, where a cobwebbed statue “that resembles a vampire lord” stood over another seam [201][202]; the party left it alone to “deal with the Necromancer” first, their name for whoever leads the cult [203][204]. Terry handed the book to Father Thomas “because he asked nicely” [205]; blood on its spine only cost him “one piercing damage”, a point left hanging [206][207][208][209]. Taking up Hugo’s idea, put to the others [210], he stepped away and whispered a secret, sent privately to the DM, with a contested Stealth check against eavesdroppers [211][212][213][214][215]:
“As you whisper into the book, you feel something changing inside you. But the book does reveal some text. However, it seems foreign to you.” — Nick (DM), [25]
He could not identify the language and put a stomach ache down to blood loss, his own explanation [216][217][218]. One line was legible: “inside the front cover someone seems to have written burn the letters silence the witnesses keep the knowledge” [219]. He closed the book and pocketed it [220][221].
Terry, who had begun the session asking for a short rest, asked again [222][223]. They could not rest inside Rime’s statue [224], and a group Insight check turned them against the statue room, with “multiple offerings from cultists in front of the Vecna statue” and “a decent amount of foot traffic here, probably” [225][226], so they rested outside, hidden but within sight of the door [227][228]: “you leave the Temple of Vecna”, in the DM’s words [29]. After about 43 minutes, “roughly five or six people” walked into the temple [229], and a Perception check made them out: “roughly one cultist and what seems to be five undead minions” [230][48]. The DM stopped there, promising a level up “once you’re done with this dungeon” [49], and had the players add the short rest anyway [231].

NPCs
- Rime (named, in-fiction; spelling unconfirmed): a young male silver dragon wyrmling [13][125], shot by Aurelian hunters, found by “the cultist”, and afraid of Father Thomas’s seal [133][44][138]; healed and fed by the party, he will help against Sarah [144][145][149]. Status: alive; an ally, hiding in the Vecna statue. New this session: yes.
- Mother (Session 21) (off-screen reference): the woman Rime calls Mother Sarah [129][43]; probably session 21’s Mother [131], not DM-stated; the spelling of Sarah is unconfirmed. Status: alive by Rime’s report. New this session: no.
- The living skin (Session 21) (returning): smothered Hugo and then Caelumn, bled “black goop”, and fell to Hugo’s natural 20 [52][66][233][7]. Status: destroyed. New this session: no.
- The regenerating kobold (Session 22) (new monster type, in-fiction; unnamed): “He’s a kobold.” [234]; a painting bore its every wound until Caelumn burned it [77][41][42]. Status: destroyed. New this session: yes.
- Flameskull (monster type; flame-skulls were fought in the Eldwythe sewers in s16): two merged into one, “the Flameskull” at its end [45][21]; the merge is recorded as witnessed, not as a trait of the type. Status: destroyed. New page this session: yes.
- The temple’s cultists (unnamed; first seen this session): “cultist” is the DM’s word [44][48]; they leave offerings and use the temple often [225][226], and Rime guessed “maybe 12” on a memory roll of 3 [235][236]. That they are The charcoal-robed kidnappers is the natural reading, not the DM’s statement. Status: active. New this session: yes.
- The Aurelian hunters (off-screen reference): shot Rime, tracked him to the temple, and look like Father Thomas to him [133][44][139]; recorded under Aurelian forces. Status: unknown. New this session: yes.
- The skinless corpse (unnamed): an unclothed man in the living skin’s cell, offered at the statue [96][97][116]; that the skin was his is the table’s reading [237], and nothing ties him to Pell. Status: dead. New this session: yes.
- Pell (off-screen): the two-L spelling confirmed at the table [238][239]. Status: captured, whereabouts unknown. New this session: no.
- Minor and referenced: Laura Bennett [89]; the acolyte, mummy-lord and vampire-lord statues, statues rather than creatures [240][157][202]; Earthwing the owl and Gristleback, named only in jokes [241][242].
Locations
- The ridge temple (revisited; “the Temple of Vecna” in the DM’s narration, [29], a name or a description, unconfirmed): “very very big”, carved into a hill or mountain on Hugo’s reading [243][244], and in active use [225][226]. Explored: the cell block, the hallway of skeletons and its mural door, the statue room with the hollow Vecna statue, acolyte statues and two secret passages, and two five-sided chambers, one with the toppled mummy-lord statue and its hole, the other with a vampire-lord statue [71][96][10][11][12][118][240][152][154][156][46][202]. Unexplored: the door the voice pointed to, towards a “dining room” that may be part of its ruse [111][245][147], further hidden doors [246] and the rest from session 21 [247][248]. No compass direction is given.
- Outside the temple (unnamed, first appears [29]): the short-rest spot, hidden within sight of the entrance, “maybe like a quarter mile” by Father Thomas’s estimate [249][228]. The DM’s question about the road [29] is the first road mentioned at the temple.
- Greysmere (referenced): “a 40 minute walk back” [88], matching ruling 73.
- Aurelia and Vhal’Zarim (referenced): in the History lore of the dragon hunts [136].
Items & Loot
- The Book of Secrets: silver-inlaid with “Vecna’s sigil”, blank until a whispered secret brought out foreign text, and inscribed inside the front cover; Arcana cannot tell whether it is magical [187][250][251][25][219]. It passed from Caelumn to Terry to Father Thomas [192][205]. Holder: Father Thomas, in his pouch [221].
- About 150 gold coins: Caelumn’s; “cursed coins” [252] is his own word, and no curse is stated. Loot, not the 150 gold promised for Pell [47][253].
- The kobold’s painting and scroll: both burnt, the painting not kept [62][254][85][255].
- The chessboard, the incense and the offerings: at the statue’s feet, untouched [12][225]; see Clues.
- The Aurelian bolt: drawn from Rime and dropped [143][256].
- Anti-toxins: two of Hugo’s used [257][200]; his remaining count is unclear [258][259].
- Healing potions: Hugo drank two [260][261]; two regular ones remain in the party inventory, and the DM’s “one greater” is unconfirmed [262][263]; Hugo’s mysterious red liquid “looks identical” to one, unconfirmed [264][265][266].
- Goodberries: one for Rime, two each for the others; source not stated [149][267].
- Holy water: sprinkled on the skulls [182]; whose is not stated, though Hugo has carried Mike’s since session 18 [268].
- Hugo’s hand axes: four thrown, none recovered on-screen [269][270][271][272].
- Bloodwell Vial: Caelumn reads out a hit-dice property; no ruling is given [273][274].
- Unchanged: The severed hand appears only in the opening recap [34]; the E.V. ring, the token, the whip and the keys are not mentioned.
Currency: Caelumn gains about 150 gold [47]; no other money changes hands.

Pending, not fought: the arrivals [27]: a cultist and five undead minions walk into the temple while the party rests outside.
Clues & Foreshadowing
- “She wasn’t supposed to start taking people.” [13]: DM-voiced (Rime). Whose plan he meant is unknown; it bears on Pell.
- Mother Sarah and the black pulse (Rime’s report and the DM’s narration; [129][43]): her link to session 21’s Mother is unconfirmed (see NPCs).
- The stolen goods, possibly (inference): the incense and dragon chessboard [12] match Orrin Sol’s list [316] and Fen’s missing chess game [317]. The DM draws no link, and whose set it was is open.
- The Book of Secrets (DM-stated): foreign text, “something changing inside you”, and the inscription [25][219]; “letters” are also on Orrin Sol’s list [316], an observation only.
- Caelumn on the mural (DM-stated): his likeness among the worshippers, and Rime heard the secret [11][127]; no consequence is stated.
- The seal (DM-voiced, via Rime): “they’re back”, and the hunters look like Father Thomas [138][139].
- Dragon lore (DM, a History result): “that Aurelia together with Vhal’Zarim hunted down dragons to near extinction”, and “the metallic ones too” [136][137], against session 11’s chromatic dragons only [318], session 18’s metallic dragons “kind of considered holy in one respect” [319], and Karvos [320] as Aurelia’s partner in the DM’s post-s21 clarifications (2026-09-27); the Karvos canon stands until the DM says otherwise.
- Vecna’s iconography (DM-stated): the one-eyed figure missing its left hand, on the mural and the statue [10][12]; whether the missing eyes, like the hacked carving over the stair [321], are iconography or defacement is unstated.
- Table speculation, not canon. “the hand of Vecna” [36]; Father Thomas’s titles for Vecna and his guess of “a secret behind each of these pillars” [322][323]; “it’s Gristleback” [324][242]; Dorian Gray [84][325]; Caelumn’s “platinum” [123]; “the Necromancer”, unlinked to the road necromancer [326][203]; “kidnapped children” [110].

- Why was Terry still poisoned? A question for the DM [3][195][51].
Quests
- [Status: active] Find and bring back Pell: Orrin Sol’s job [253]. Rime names the likely captor [43]; Pell is not found [48]. Cross-reference
08_quests/active.md. - [Status: new] Stop Mother Sarah: Rime’s request, with his help promised [129][145]; linked to the Pell quest; no reward mentioned.
- [Status: active] Escort Laura Bennett to Umbrafall: she waits until about midday [91].
- [Status: active] Redeem the forged Duskwatch ledger at Velkris: not raised.
- [Status: deferred] The Egg Quest: not raised, though the History lore touched the dragon hunts [136].
- [Status: active] Update Sevryn at Gloamhearth: not advanced.
Faction & Relationship Changes
- The temple’s cultists: on-screen for the first time [48]; not yet a recurring threat under the one-appearance rule.
- Aurelian forces: hunters shot a silver dragon wyrmling [133][44]; no sub-faction page on one mention.
- Rime: an ally-in-waiting [327][145].
- Vecna: the DM names the temple, the statue and the book’s sigil as Vecna’s, never the mural’s figure [10][187][225][29]; per the DM’s post-s21 clarifications (2026-09-27), the worship met here does not show how widespread the religion is.
- Father Thomas: taken by Rime for a hunter [139]; his Everlight declaration [142] is a player’s statement and leaves that question open; he keeps the book and a secret only the DM knows [213].
- Caelumn: now on the mural [11]; his Platinum Dragon zeal (Platinum Order) met a silver dragon [128]; he lost the book to Terry [192].
Table Rulings
- Resuming the pause: session 21 stopped mid-initiative, with Hugo’s last turn a held action, so play resumed on his turn [1][328]; session 21 closes on “the end of that round of initiative” [329]. Recorded as played, not as a retcon.
- Escaping the living skin (ruling 94): any Strength-based check; beating the DC by five turns the grapple around; Acrobatics refused [330][331][332][333].
- Fumbles (ruling 63, a second one-off): a d100 on the living skin’s natural 1, to no effect [4].
- Silvery Barbs (rulings 64 and 89): rerolls keep the conditions in play [334]; each cast adds a counter point [5]; the scroll’s reroll of Terry’s natural 20 was the counter’s first spend as the table read it, its scope “remains to be seen” [62][335][336][337].
- Grappling (ruling 88): a save against 8 plus proficiency plus Strength, after a hit first, which is this table’s procedure [338][281].
- Resting and searching (rulings 92 and 93): a short rest takes an hour, and investigating is not resting [92][93]; traps take Perception, at a lower DC when looking only for traps [339][340]; repeat searches are at disadvantage and capped, and a targeted check lowers the DC for one door only [153][341][246]. The closing rest was interrupted at about 43 minutes but credited [229][231].
- The undead plague (rulings 85 and 86): it blocks healing, so Terry’s Second Wind did nothing [342]; another anti-toxin allows another save [194][196]; a long rest “might” clear it, a hedge rather than a duration [343].
- The merged flameskull (ruling 95): it “absorbs all energies”, so Booming Blade’s rider carried over; it is “not really shapeshifted”, so Moonbeam could not split it; its fire rays are melee within reach and ranged beyond [292][344][345].
- Holy water or Dispel Evil and Good (ruling 87): either stops the skulls reforming, and holy water sent by chat was accepted [181][346].
- Smaller calls (rulings 90, 91, 96 and 97): Bladesong attacks count as magical, tentatively [347][348][349]; one concentration save per Magic Missile dart, and no moving past an enemy [350][351]; improvised thrown weapons take a flat d20 and 1d4, and blades without the thrown property do not count as thrown [352][353]; the Religion check on the skulls was at advantage for a proficient character, and Arcana cannot tell whether an item is magical [179][251]; the Study action was an Investigation check, with a crybaby point threatened, not given [82][354][355]; Caelumn’s pulled back cost five feet of movement, apparently until a long rest [356][357].
- Advancement: a level up once the dungeon is done, or for “something else”; no level is stated [49][358].
- Temporary hit points (rulings 78 and 84): the Twilight points carried across the break; the players roll them as 1d8 plus 4 where ruling 78 records 1d6+4, unresolved [278][279].
Callbacks
- The sealed-cell fight (s21): concluded; the creature lay “ready to strike at you like a hungry python” [359], as in session 21 [360].
- Pell (s21): the two-L spelling confirmed at the table [238][239], matching the DM’s post-s21 clarifications (2026-09-27).
- The empty cell (s21): the kobold’s hiding place was apparently the cell found to be “just an empty jail cell” [361][71].
- The Silvery Barbs counter (s19 to s21): “up to 3” in session 19 [362]; a point added and, as the table read it, spent [5][62].
- “there might be secret entrances” (s21): the DM’s hedge [363] paid off [11][152][154].
- The flame-skulls (s16): known to the table [364]; in the Eldwythe sewers a severed chin “flies up from the floor and reattaches” [365], as a jaw did here [366].
- The dragon hunts (s11, s18, s20): see Clues [136].
Meta notes
- Played on 2026-09-27; the next session is set for 10 October [367].
- Barney’s player was away again, so Barney has no lines; Vasquez and Althea remain departed.
- Caelumn’s player arrived late, so Father Thomas gave the recap [30]; Father Thomas’s player lost his connection after the flameskull fight and played on by chat [179][182][199].
- A mid-session break followed the first fight; nothing from it is recorded.
- Caelumn’s secret was made up at the table [368][369], and Terry, addressing the wiki, proposed a joke title for the session, which the maintainers did not use [370].
Next Steps
- Deal with the cultist and the five undead who have just walked into the temple [48].
- Find Pell and the woman Rime calls Mother Sarah, with Rime’s promised help [43][145].
- Explore the vampire-lord chamber and the rest of the temple; a level up is promised once the dungeon is done [202][49].
- Find a translator for The Book of Secrets; Hugo suggests Rime might know the language [371].
- Return to Greysmere before Laura Bennett’s midday deadline [91], then go on to Umbrafall.
